Is an apple a living or non living thing?

While on the tree, an apple is part of a living thing, but once it is picked, decomposers slowly begin to break down the apple and it is no longer alive.

Then, do seeds have life?

Despite their small size, though, seeds contain food and all the instructions necessary to sprout to life as a plant. When seeds are planted, they first grow roots. The three things plants need to grow are light, food and water.

Do seeds die?

The age of the seed affects its health and germination ability: since the seed has a living embryo, over time cells die and cannot be replaced. Some seeds can live for a long time before germination, while others can only survive for a short period after dispersal before they die.

Are dormant seeds alive?

Although seeds are dormant (resting) their cells are still alive and performing typical cellular functions. Answer 3: Seeds are living! They are just typically in a dormant state, which means they require very little of the resources necessary to stay alive, until they are in the appropriate conditions to grow.
