It's a chocolatey dream come true AND a healthy one! As with all of our to-die-for date spreads, our beloved chocolate flavor is vegan friendly, surprisingly low in calories, oil free, and we don't add any sugars.

Date Spread is one of those sweet fruity spreads that you can use in so many different ways: for baking (as a filling for cakes, rugalach or cookies), to spread over toast with butter, and more. It is made from fresh Israeli dates, sugar and preservatives to allow a long shelf life.

Secondly, can I use honey instead of dates?

You can turn dates into syrup — real syrup that involves boiling the dates and reducing the liquid until it's the consistency of honey. Or simply replace honey, maple syrup, or molasses with date syrup in baking recipes for a more caramel-like flavor that only dates can impart.

Are dates Keto?

Since dates are a dried fruit, they are a more streamlined form of nutrition. The low GI content of dates is critically important, not just for the keto diet – but for any healthy diet. As confirmed by scientific research, blood sugar spikes are one of the biggest contributors to weight gain.

What can I substitute for 1/2 cup honey?

Substitute with 1 cup corn syrup, 1 cup molasses or 3/4 cup honey (decrease liquid called for in recipe by 1/4 cup); or 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed. For each cup of honey in baked goods, add 1/2 teaspoon soda.
